Colourbration Success for Encantador
           2011 WA Colourbration Show

Encantador Alpaca Stud in Armadale have always done well with their alpacas and fleeces at shows across Australia.  The WA Colourbration Show held at Canningvale in mid July was no exception with Judy and Murray being awarded Champion Brown Female and Champion Light Fawn Male along with 5 first, 1 second and 2 third place awards in the show ring competition.  Both Champions were sired by Blue Grass Centurion.

Success continued in the shorn fleece competition with Encantador receiving 3 first and 2 third places along with Supreme Champion Light Fawn Fleece with Encantador Belvedere who was also awarded Champion Light Fawn Male in the show ring.

The show was capped off for the Stannards with Blue Grass Centurion winning his record 14th Sires Progeny competition.

Judy and Murray Stannard dedicated their success to good breeding decisions, attention to detail and excellent nutrition.  Members of the WA Premium Alpaca Group, Encantador are dedicated to producing premium quality alpaca fibre featuring low fibre diameter (micron) and low variation of fibre diameter throughout the fleece (standard deviation).

2011 Whiteman Park Autumn Classic Show - Judgment Day for Encantador

Encantador Alpaca Stud in Armadale have always done well with their alpacas and fleeces at shows across Australia, however they dominated the Huacaya Championship lineup at the recent Autumn Classic at Whiteman Park.

Judge, Mr Steve Ridout. commented several times during the show that he liked the overall consistency and fineness of the Stannardís alpacas fleeces along with their square chested solid frames and lack of medullated fibre.

Five of Encantadorís broad ribbon winners, Belvedere, Carmelle, Ringleader, Fernandez and Manchurion Warrior, were all sired by the Stannardís top stud male Blue Grass Centurion.  The sixth, Viviana, was sired by Encantador Centaurus.  Manchurion Warrior also went on to take out Best Light Fawn Male at the Show.

The show was capped off for the Stannards with Blue Grass Centurion winning his 13th Sires Progeny competition and Encantador Don Juan taking out a shorn fleece Championship for his 12-18 months of age skirted fleece.

Encantador will be hosting a Premium Alpaca Group workshop on May 22nd at their property in Armadale.  The workshop will be providing breeders with information and skilling on how to maximise the value of their alpaca fleeces and present Premium Alpaca fibre for sale to the market.  Contact Judy and Murray on 9399 7919 for further details.
